Once upon a time there was a boy studying anatomy in the early weeks of his medical education. He came across names like Manubrium and Crista Terminalis, and thought to himself, “If I ever wrote a Sci-Fi epic I’d be ripping off anatomy names like they were poor black people and I was Elvis…”
Then a few days later he was walking home, grasping for a medically related idea for a Euphoria skit, but he felt so caged in with his limited medical knowledge. And then it dawned on him: Euphoria would be the Sci-Fi epic he was meant to write. Faster then he could believe it all fell into piece in his head - he could see it, hear it, smell it…
But the boy had a problem… how could he get this vision from his head and out onto the stage. Then the boy met a girl he had only heard from: a girl with a music degree that had scammed her way into medical school. He wouldn’t have believed it possible, except that he himself had scammed his way in with a philosophy degree. At a picnic table outside the Tupper, one sunny day in late September he told her of his vision, and she believed.
Then the boy and girl were joined by half a dozen wise-men with beer in hand on a Friday evening, and together they were able to draw the vision from the boy’s mind and unto a magic box with script software. Over the air itself, the boy sent the script from his magic box to the magic boxes of the six masters of costume, make-up, martial arts, dance, music and set design. These masters were great wizards who read the script on their magic boxes and then created the necessary elements required to shift the vision from the script in the magic boxes to the world around them.
Then the boy’s brother and friends joined him during the cruel onset of winter. Armed with the elements of the 6 Masters, and the glorious talents of students of the Class of 2011, they captured the vision with the magic of video cassette recording. The boy then sequestered himself in isolation to mold the raw captured vision into perfection that would be needed to be victorious on the day soon to come.
Meanwhile, the girl who had met the boy at the picnic table mere weeks before was crafting music the likes of which had never been heard before. She met a man with hands that could do things with a piano that were… well… could do really cool things. Together they made beautiful music from the vision of the boy, but in doing so the girl saw further into the vision, further than even the boy had dreamed. In this vision flower men danced rainbows around a small woman with a voice the size of nations, and the dead returned, and a Princess touched herself. And this vision was reflected in the music that she made with the piano man.
The boy then emerged form his isolation with the vision captured on the video cassette. He took it to the friend of Bebbington who could alter reality with his will alone (and CG generating software), and this friend blessed the video cassette. Then the boy returned and the girl had taken her music and had brought it into the world through the voices and instruments of their family of 2011.
Then the night of triumph was upon them. The three masters of ceremony led the armies of 2011 to battle against the forces of evil. Armed with the weapons of the 6 Masters of costume, make-up, martial arts, dance, music and set design, they gave furious melee against the forces of 2010. The blessed video cassette of the magic box allowed no mercy against the tyrants of 2008. The master of ceremony that they call the dinosaur let loose flatulence against the forces of 2009. And the boy stood back in awe because the vision that was once in his mind now existed in front of him.
And then the beautiful music of the girl and piano man came, along with all the flower men, Princesses, lions, and dead walking. The people had never known such glory and beauty. The boy and the girl were glad because their vision had become reality. The forces of evil were vanquished by the splendor that surrounded the army of 2011. And when the dust settled… victory belonged to the 94 brothers and sisters of the year two thousand eleven…
Then they all went and got real drunk!
