One week till December break means that med school is almost 1/8th over! I don’t really know how that happened, but I’m glad! I kind of need this break to process most of the material that we’ve covered since HBU.
I think part of the problem is the post HBU lull that I fell into where for a couple weeks (more like five) I was busy catching up on all the non academic things in my life like socializing, playing guitar hero, thinking about playing ping pong, tv shows, and cooking chili for the first time in my life. Those things are all important as balance in one of the big things they stress in medical school. Perhaps the balance has swung too far?
Lately the Metabolism and Function unit (MaF) has gotten a lot more complicated with the end of biochemistry and the start of physiology. I like this stuff a lot though, so I’m finding more and more motivation to hit the books for longer periods. So, that’s what I’m doing, and extending this post would purely be a form of procrastination.
